Two new additions to my Fighting Fantasy collection. Number 43, The Keep of the Liche Lord (Dragon edition, No number) and Number 5, City of Thieves (Original edition). Both are 400 paragraph adventures. Liche Lord looks like it hasn't been played and City of Thieves looks like it may have been played once, maybe twice, both books are clean.

I haven't played this. It came out long after I left FF books behind so I am looking forward to a game or two of it. I'll do my best to keep it in great condition when I do.

I played this when I was very young and loved it. I remember being desperate to buy it and it was a choice between this and Forest of Doom. I eventually bought Forest of Doom and got this later but I was dying to get both simply because the cover art painted such a rich image to me of what I might expect inside.
That was one of the great strengths of Fighting Fantasy books, the imagery really helped to sell the books. The same was true for the Lone Wolf series, it helped shape the world for you in your head.
